"I couldn't have been more thrilled to be a part of such an powerful, amazing experience with the Get Heeled 5K this year. It provided the perfect opportunity for student-athlete involvement. This year, we created the foundation and built the initial partnership between these two organizations-- Get Heeled 5K and Carolina Student-Athletes. It was clear this is a formula for success, and now I envision this event being reconstructed on various college campuses with passionate student-athletes.

One of the neatest parts of this year race was the involvement of the Carolina Gymnastics team, in conjunction with the Carolina Dreams program. Together, the two student-athlete groups helped organize and put on a 1 Miler to top off the Get Heeled 5K and bring in a wider audience... those who maybe aren't 5K savvy, but still want to have some fun... and maybe even wear a tutu? I can't wait to see this race grow and flourish in the future and get more student-athletes involved next year. Best of luck to the Pink Pacers as they expand this race up the road to the Cavaliers for the Hoo's Heal on April 13th!  GO HEELS."

"We have been involved with the Get Heeled 5K from the beginning, and it’s one of our favorite events each year.  This event understands community, and people.  Which, is why it’s no surprise that this has become a one-of-a-kind event in our community.  From the dollars raised, to the party atmosphere, the Pink Pacers do it right.  When you raise support for those in need, and partner that with a top notch production, you get a nice result.  You get the Get Heeled 5K!"

"As a family who has faced the trials of battling pediatric cancer, we were so thankful to be involved in an event that 100% of the proceeds fulfilled the needs of our local pediatric oncology department.  Our family was able to spend a day full of fun and excitement with friends and supporters from our community, all while helping to raise much-needed awareness for pediatric cancer.  We are extremely thankful to all who worked so hard to make the Get Heeled 5K such a success and can't WAIT to get more of our family and friends involved in future years!"
